Everything you need to know about how much baggage you can bring

Baggage rules: everything about permitted allowances

Compare dimensions, weight and what the cheapest ticket actually includes. For 80 airlines.

Knowing your airline's baggage rules in advance saves you unnecessary costs and hassle at check-in. Below you'll find the permitted dimensions and weights per airline for the cabin bag and checked baggage.

Pay particular attention to the fare columns. At 21 airlines the cabin bag is no longer part of the cheapest ticket, and at 50 the same goes for checked baggage. What used to be standard is now often a paid extra.

Check your own ticket

This data was compiled on 26 August 2026 and checked per airline against the source or against specialist baggage sites. Baggage rules change regularly and vary by fare, route, cabin class and aircraft type. Always check the conditions on your own ticket and the airline's website before booking or packing. No rights can be derived from this overview.
